The stage was set—the spotlight ready to illuminate not only the legendary Glenn Hoddle but also the hearts of everyone present. DJ Grant Proudfoot, a local DJ orchestrated this magical evening to raise money for Heart UK cholesterol charity.
HEART UK, The Cholesterol Charity, stood at the heart of it all. Their mission? To prevent premature deaths caused by high cholesterol—a silent but potent risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. With no government funding, they rely on the generosity of individuals and community initiatives like this one.
Raffle tickets were available to win iconic England football shirts from 1983. The star himself—whose name echoed through stadiums and memories—graced each shirt with his autograph.
As the crowd settled into their seats, Glenn Hoddle took to answer questions about his career. His presence transcended football. It was a reminder of the power of compassion and shared purpose.
